This is the first game in the Battletech universe that my brother and I have ever played. It came with our dad's first computer. My brother and I played this game a ton and at the time thought that the Battletech cartoon and tabletop games were unrelated. Love this game! 😁

if only they would remake these older games to play on a modern system, I would buy them and relive it again

I love how the Kodiak rotates left and right to spread/absorb the damage. I just might have to replay this old game.... 😉

The sheer ferocity Comstar had when they came at the Clans was downright terrifying. They didn't stop, they never even slowed down. They climbed over the bodies of their dead comrades just to bite at the ankles of the Clan warriors. The battle of Tukayyid was a hell of a fight. Watching this just hammers it harder. This is how they won almost every battle. It took twice as many mechs to take these down, but they didn't stop until they won.

Ah, so *these* are the mercenaries that gave Rasalhague their hate boners for mercs.

For how little you actually have interaction with this character. Being the intro and the first message of the game. I think that colonel Holly Harris probably had one of the most influential impacts on me as a gamer from the beginning till now.

Finally! I found out! Memories from 1st grade, where we would watch the big kids play this after school, this cutscene has been burned into my brain!

I remember all the dropships I encounteres in game, would easily destroy me, they seemed to be armed to the teeth, even the smaller type with wings.

I was there, at the Battle of Tukayyid. I stopped the final push at Dinjuu Pass! You were there! We stopped the Clanners!

Had no idea when a young boy watching this that these guys are basically mid 20th century space italians...

I sometimes walk around and make mech sounds in my camouflage underwear. Unfortunately my neighbours do no appreciate this and have called the police.

Most atlas pilots redused to go with kerenksy on his exodus. So the ending showing an atlas triumphing over the clan mech is a symbol for the old ways of the IS winning over the clans

We need a MechWarrior Remake!

Two great mechs fighting, unfortunately for one the other is basically the clan version of the Atlas, which even into the IL Clan era is one of the most feared mechs on the battlefield.

9 mechs go at it and one comes out alive. Damn cool clip.

I think I always wonder if Earth would have been better under Clan Wolf as opposed to ComStar.

The sound of both the wolf and falcon at start of their intro's like DANG!!! They don't make games like this anymore.

Watched that intro as a kid. Didn’t speak English so had no idea what they were talking about or the lore of the game. I can imagine the kid getting some « lone survivor » guilt and having become hardened over the years he kills the Starship Command that left her behind through some ruse to avenge his former commander.
